Audi has released the first hint of the upcoming A5 Sportback - a sleek five-door hatch set for September release in Europe.

Looks like we're getting the A5 Sportback next year, and the range-topping 3.2 V6 quattro could be first cab off the rank, with diesel and TFSI petrol fours to follow - probably.

An unkind person would suggest it's Audi's take on the CLS Mercedes-Benz, but comparisons there will be inevitable.
